The game of Chess originated from Chaturanga, an ancient Indian art of strategy. Chaturanga is a Sanskrit word referring to the four arms of the Indian army: elephantry, cavalry, infantry and chariotry. Like Chaturanga, I believe that modern marketing communication has four key divisions which drive organizations: management, strategy, creative and media.
